A mother in Maryland was arrested for allegedly driving a car into a group of children playing in front of a school.
Authorities say the children in the car were all aged 6-8 years old, but their ages were not immediately available.
The Maryland State Police say 32-year-old Karen Marie Kincaid was driving the vehicle with her 21-year old son, who was sitting in the front passenger seat.
The Kincays were traveling in a black car with a front license plate of J-5.
The police say the driver then exited the car and struck the children, leaving them with life-threatening injuries.
The car has been impounded and Kincas custody will be reviewed.
